The importance of being grateful

Happy and healthy life is not only about organic, toxic free products, healthy house, and lifestyle. All these things mean nothing without inner balance and good mental health. It is important to be calm and to say “thank” everyone.  According to this, human’s life is not just an essay on gratitude, but the thick and colorful book with bold capital  letters: “TODAY I’M GRATEFUL”.

The Happiness Is Inside Me

“Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” – Marcel Proust

It is impossible to imagine our life without people who care about us, make us feel safe, love us, and do their best for making us happy. They help us value everything we have, and motivate us to pursue our dreams. On my point of view I might never feel complete, successful and lucky without having loving ones around me. It doesn’t mean that this circle must include only my family, relatives and friends. Even a complete stranger can become a loving one, when he/she supports me during difficult times. When you understand that there are people, or even just one person who truly cares about you and is always there for you, it leads to the idea that you are worth something and you can change something.

My Life is a Miracle

“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” – Eckhart Tolle

Sometimes we simply fail to understand that we have everything one might need to be happy. The endless pursuit of having a littles bit more, of having something different doesn’t let us just to stop and enjoy everything we’ve achieved or received so far. If we manage to do that, we will surprisingly notice that we already have an abundant life. Even if we face difficult times and it seems that everything is going against us, still we can find hundreds of reasons for feeling satisfied and being grateful. I have a lot of goals and dreams, there are a lot of things still missing in my life. However, every time I read this quote it leads me to the idea that I would never change anything in my current situation. I am healthy, I am lucky enough to have food and shelter, family and friends. I am capable of dreaming and eventuating my dreams.

I’m Not Alone

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” – Schweitzer

There are times when we lose our motivation of moving forward, there are times when we simply lose the control over our lives. During those moments we underestimate our potential, our capabilities and start questioning our ability of reaching our goals. That’s the point where external interventions help us stand up and move forward. A single word, a single sentence or even a single glance from people who believe in us, can have a magical impact. It proves us that we are not alone, that someone else believes that everything is possible and we are smart, strong, and enthusiastic enough for making a change, and for turning impossible things into reality. Those who motivate us and help regain confidence, become co-authors of our success, as without their presence our skills, knowledge and strengths would never create any result.

The Art of Small Steps

“Develop an attitude of gratitude, and give thanks for everything that happens to you, knowing that every step forward is a step toward achieving something better and bigger than your current situation.” – Brian Tracy

As long as you take a step forward, you might be confident that you make a progress. Even if that step is small and seems to be insignificant, still it doesn’t mean that there is no change in your existing situation. Frankly, it is impossible to pass a certain distance with the same speed. There are times when you face hills or downhills, and in order to pass them you need to adjust your speed and your approach. During those moments you learn something new, you acquire new skills and abilities. The path to success is full of new lessons. Those lessons come with difficulties and need to be completed with small steps. It is important to be grateful for every single difficulty you face, as they make you stronger and smarter. They provide you motivation and knowledge for future endeavours.

Circle of Gratitude

“Gratitude is the inward feeling of kindness received. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling. Thanksgiving is the following of that impulse.” – Henry Van Dyke

Gratitude gives a start to an endless chain effect. The moment when you realize that someone has done an important thing for you, somethings starts burning inside you. It warms your soul, gives birth to a magical source of excitement and positive emotions. As a result, a huge amount of energy accumulates in side you and you try to find opportunities of giving them a freedom. Logically, you think of doing something good for others, in order to express your gratefulness, share your emotions and make them feel the way you feel. When you realize that your attitude brought a positive change for others, it gives you a sense of achievement and helps understand that you are capable of creating great things. This cycle goes on continuously, while filling your life with love and bliss.
